Extremely disappointing Aug 7, 2024 Such a terrible experience to the degree we cancelled within 20 of checking in. Prior to placing reservation, asked specific questions relating to pet policy. On arrival, was given room keys, reviewed breakfast and pool times. Gathered belongings and went to room. Noticed floor was not clean, had used hair tie, snack wrapper trash, and dirt by one bed ( didn’t even look near the other). Went to desk to request broom, dustpan, and towels to clean ( kids were tired from 2 1/2 hr drive). At that time, gentleman at desk seemed surprised at issue with lack of cleaning ( showed him photos). Then he stated, “ I forgot to give you the pet policy to sign.” On reading, the pet CANNOT be left unattended anywhere in hotel or on grounds or in your car. So I questioned this as I called with prior to reservation. So, a family cannot eat breakfast in hotel, go to pool, beach, or out to dinner together as someone must be with per the entire time. The lady, I assume was a manager came to desk, asked who I spoke to, I said it was a man that sounded just like the guy who checked us in. No apologies offered. Only provided confirmation, at my request, of cancellation and we packed our things back into truck and drove all the way back home with 3 very unhappy boys. Would not recommend and will not return.
