The Buffalo AKG Art Museum, formerly known as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, is a leading modern and contemporary art museum and among the most popular attractions in Buffalo, New York. The collections mix artworks from 19th- and 20th-century masters such as Picasso, Khalo, Pollock, and Warhol with cutting-edge pieces from the 21st century.
The basics
The museum is on the west side of Delaware Park across from the Burchfield Penney Art Center. You can visit both—and also the Buffalo History Museum and Buffalo Zoo nearby—after walking through the park. It's best to purchase admission online, as a limited amount of tickets are sold online and on-site daily. Once inside, you can explore the museum on your own or take a 1-hour public tour, available daily, Thursday–Monday, at 11am and 1:30pm.
