Situated on Atlanta's Westside, on the former Atlantic Steel Mill site, Atlantic Station is a popular spot for dining, shopping, and people-watching. The neighborhood also has plenty of entertainment options, with a movie theatre, a bowling alley, and live events ranging from sports games to Cirque du Soleil performances.

The basics

If you're in the mood for shopping (or dining), Atlantic Station is an excellent destination. Here you'll find outlets of dozens of major brands plus a smattering of restaurants serving everything from Japanese barbecue to fresh vegan fare. Other features include a fountain with a splash pad—ideal for cooling off on hot summer days—gyms, beauty salons, and even a daycare. There are even a few hotels here if you want to make Atlantic Station your base.

Things to know before you go

  • Head to Concierge Services (in front of H&M) at the beginning of your visit to learn about daily deals at local retailers.

  • Free ponchos, loaner umbrellas, and “Rainy Day A-Cards”—which entitle bearers to discounts at local shops and restaurants—are available on rainy days at Concierge Services.

  • Atlantic Station is wheelchair-accessible. You can reserve a loaner wheelchair by calling Concierge Services before your visit.

How to get there

Atlantic Station is a 10-minute drive from downtown Atlanta and is easy to reach by car or rideshare via I-85. Parking is available on the street and a parking deck, and the first two hours are free. You can also take the train to the MARTA Arts Center and hop aboard a free shuttle straight to Atlantic Station.

When to get there

If you want to shop without the crowds, consider visiting Atlantic Station on a weekday in the morning or early afternoon, as weekends can get busy. Adults must accompany children under 18 after 3pm, and nobody under 21 is allowed on the property after 9pm.
