The basics

If you want to hear more about the spirit-making process and understand how its spirits are made, book a distillery tour at Bozeman Spirits Distillery. The tour takes you through the distillery to see the operation for distilling the spirits, which is done on-site. Or, you can pop into the distillery when you have extra time to try a cocktail in its tasting room. Be sure to try its unique huckleberry vodka.

Things to know before you go

• If you love huckleberry-inspired drinks, you’re in luck—the distillery uses the local fruit in vodka and other spirits, too.

• You can purchase bottles of Bozeman Spirits at its distillery or order a specialty cocktail or flight from the bar.

• Bozeman Spirits Distillery is on Main Street near the Gallatin History Museum, which can be explored in about one to two hours.

• If you’re in the mood for a night of music after your visit to Bozeman Spirits, check out what’s playing at the Rialto or the Ellen Theatre, both a short walk away.

How to get there

The Bozeman Spirits Distillery is on Main Street in historic Downtown Bozeman. If you’re staying downtown, you may be able to walk to the distillery, but you can also take a rideshare service. Four parking lots offer 2-hour parking about a block from Main Street if you're driving.

When to get there

The Bozeman Spirits Distillery is open from midmorning until evening, except Sundays when it opens later. The distillery is a 3-minute drive from Montana Street University, so the distillery and Downtown Bozeman can get packed on the weekends. For a quieter visit, try a weekday around opening time.

Visit Yellowstone National Park

After exploring Downtown Bozeman and all it offers, make a day or overnight trip to Yellowstone National Park. Bozeman is about an hour and 40 minutes away from the national park by car. Some of Yellowstone’s main highlights include geysers like the famous Old Faithful, hot springs, wildlife, and other natural attractions.
