Breakers Oceanfront Park is the epicenter of Daytona Beach’s parks. The direct beach access includes outdoor showers, restrooms, and bicycle racks. The park is a gateway to the beach and boardwalk, so it’s crowded in the warm months and on weekends.

Things to know before you go

• The learning center may be closed for private rentals on weekdays.

• It's free to enter the park, but parking is paid.

• The beach and pier are accessible to people using wheelchairs, and free beach wheelchairs are available at the lifeguard station.

How to get there

Breakers Oceanfront Park is located at 13 S. Atlantic Avenue. It’s adjacent to the Dayton Boardwalk and Main Street Pier. Multiple city bus routes stop at the park. If driving, take I-95’s Exit 261 onto W. International Speedway Drive, then make a right onto Atlantic Avenue. Use the Daytona Beach Pier parking lot.

When to get there

Breakers Oceanfront Park is open from dawn until dusk, though the learning center, splash pool, and restroom may have limited hours depending on the season. The park is busiest on weekends and between late spring and early autumn, but the best advice is to arrive as early as possible. The adjacent parking lots and metered spots fill up quickly, and there are few other parking options within a short walk of the park.
