A visit to Breckenridge Distillery can be as quick as a shot at the bar or as long as a full evening with a meal. The restaurant offers a menu with small plates, steak cuts, and sharing sides. While a tour isn’t mandatory to stop for a drink here, it certainly enhances the experience; there’s an array of tours and tastings available, varying in length, price, and number of tastings included. You can purchase Breckenridge Distillery spirits in the facility or order online and have them shipped home.

How to get there

The Breckenridge Distillery, including its retail shop, restaurant, and tasting room, is located at 1925 Airport Road in Breckenridge. The Gray bus line stops in front of the distillery, but most visitors either drive themselves or take a cab. You could also walk or cycle the Blue River Bikeway; it has a pathway that leads to the parking lot across the street from the distillery.

When to get there

Public tours run three times a day on weekends with a maximum of 12 people per tour, so arrive around 30 minutes prior to secure a spot. The private distillery tours are available six days a week, while The Founders Experience and Whiskey Blending Lab are by reservation only; it’s best to book any tour online prior to visiting. If you’re visiting to drink or eat, check the event calendar first to plan ahead.

Sip your way around Breckenridge

Broken Compass Brewing opened its doors just north of Breckenridge Distillery in 2014. While you could walk between the two, both establishments have tasting rooms on Breckenridge’s Main Street, which is a convenient location for visitors seeking an easy pub crawl on foot. Further stops can include the Continental Divide Winery, Breckenridge Brewery, and Highside Brewing.
