How to Get There
The Broadhurst Theatre is located on West 44th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues. By subway, take the A, C, or E to 42nd Street – Port Authority Bus Terminal or the 7 to 42nd Street. Or take a bus running along Eighth or Ninth avenues or one headed to Port Authority Bus Terminal.
When to Get There
The theater’s box office hours depends on the show, but it is typically open from 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays. It’s best to arrive early as there may be lines for the box office or theater concessions. Latecomers are seated at the theater’s discretion.
Architecture of the Broadhurst
The Broadhurst Theatre and the neighboring Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (formerly the Plymouth) were Krapp’s first independent commissions, and he designed them to be mirror images of each other from the outside. They were also meant to resemble the style of the neighboring Shubert and Booth theaters, which had been designed by Henry B. Herts, though using more cost-effective brick and terra cotta materials.
Ways to explore
Broadhurst Theatre has hosted several short-run shows in recent years, including BOOP! The Musical, the Alanis Morissette-inspired Jagged Little Pill, the Disney-adaptation Anastasia, and Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical. Buy your tickets in advance, as popular seats, especially those in the orchestra and the front mezzanine, can sell out quickly.

Address
Broadhurst Theatre is on West 44th Street, between Seventh and Eighth avenues, just off Broadway. You can reach the theater on foot from Times Square and other Midtown Manhattan attractions, or by public transport.
Driving
Driving in traffic-ridden Midtown Manhattan is best left to taxi drivers. Save yourself the hassle—and the expensive parking fees—and hail a cab or book a rideshare service instead.
Public transportation
The most convenient way to navigate New York is by subway. Take the A, C, or E train to 42nd St–Port Authority Bus Terminal or trains 1, 2, 3, 7, or S to Times Square 42nd St, both two blocks from the theater. Several buses, including M11, M20, and M1014, also run along Eighth and Ninth avenues, stopping just a block or two from the theater.
Best times to visit
Show times vary, but most evening shows start at 7:30pm or 8pm, while matinee performances typically start at 2pm. Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime; latecomers may not be admitted.
Best days to visit
There are usually shows from Tuesday through Sunday, with the most popular nights being Friday and Saturday—expect the best seats to sell out fast. If you’re booking last minute or on a budget, the lowest prices are often on Tuesday or Wednesday nights.
Best months to visit
Shows tend to sell out most often in the peak summer season (July and August) and around the holidays, so consider whether the crowds and high ticket prices are worth it for you. An off-season Broadway show can be just as fun at a fraction of the cost.
Special events
While there are no festivals held at the Broadhurst Theatre, you could time your visit with the annual Broadway on Broadway event in September, which celebrates the new Broadway season with a giant open-air concert in Times Square.
