Cambridge Theatre
Earlham Street, London, Greater London, WC2H 9HU
Opened in 1930, the Cambridge Theatre is a stalwart of London’s West End drama scene with an opulent interior that’s as stylish as its sleek exterior. While it’s hosted a range of shows over the years, it’s best known for Matilda the Musical, an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s story that’s been charming kids and adults alike since 2011.
The Basics
The theater’s modern exterior belies an opulent interior, wherein bronze friezes depict nude figures, and marble columns, glass chandeliers, and concealed lighting create an air of grandeur. The theater seats more than 1,200 audience members across three levels. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online; booking in advance guarantees a seat at the often sold-out show. Some packages allow you to upgrade and enjoy a pre-theatre dinner nearby.

Special events
