Eisenhower National Historic Site
243 Eisenhower Farm Rd, Gettysburg, PA, 17325
The Eisenhower National Historic Site, inside the Gettysburg National Military Park, is the former home and farm of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Visitors can explore the house, its original furnishings, and the grounds, while learning about Eisenhower’s life, including his role as a military leader and statesman, and his presidency.
The basics
Guided tours of the Eisenhower National Historic Site provide insights into the president’s life, his home, and his role in Cold War diplomacy. Visitors can explore the house, farm, and gardens, all preserved with the original furnishings. Full-day tours from Washington DC to Gettysburg are popular day-trip options.
You can also take a self-guided tour, with informative exhibits and ranger-led talks highlighting Eisenhower’s military and presidential legacy. Each year, the site also hosts special programs and events to commemorate the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of France on June 6.
