When to get there

Summer is the most popular season to visit Dubrovnik. During July and August, everything from hotel rooms to boat tours fill up quickly, so book a journey to the Elaphite Islands in advance. Visiting in the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) means cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, although ferries and tours may be less frequent.
