Flynn Cruiseport Boston (Black Falcon Cruise Terminal)
1 Black Falcon Ave., South Boston Waterfront, Boston, MA, 02210
Formally known as the Raymond L. Flynn Black Falcon Cruise Terminal, Flynn Cruiseport Boston is one of Boston’s busiest waterfront hubs. Located in South Boston, the port serves major cruise ships and is most active from late March through late October. Upwards of 300,000 visitors pass through the port annually.
The basics
Named in honor of former Boston Mayor Raymond Flynn, Flynn Cruiseport Boston connects the East Coast city with destinations as far-flung as Canada, Bermuda, and Europe. The port is near local highlights such as the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Harpoon Brewery & Beer Hall, Boston Children’s Museum, and the Institute of Contemporary Art. To see more of Boston in less time, opt for a sightseeing shore excursion or a hop-on hop-off trolley tour, both of which stop at the port.
Things to know before you go
There’s a parking garage five minutes from the cruise terminal—fees can be paid in advance. Though there’s no wheelchair-accessible parking, wheelchairs can be requested from individual cruise lines.
Flynn Cruiseport Boston is part of the revitalized Seaport District, which features hotels, restaurants, museums, and the scenic Harborwalk.
No luggage-storage facilities are hosted at the terminal.
No handicapped parking is hosted on-site, but visitors can be dropped off in front of the terminal, and wheelchairs can be requested from the individual cruise lines.
