Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio
111 W Crockett St., San Antonio, San Antonio, TX, 78205
The Hard Rock Cafe is a big dose of rock 'n' roll memorabilia, American kitsch, and first-rate burgers, fries, and milkshakes. The San Antonio outpost is no different. Stop by while exploring the South Bank on the River Walk, have a Texas-sized meal, see a concert, and watch the river flow by from three floors of patios and balconies.
The basics
When the weather is nice, the café's patios and balconies make for some of the best outdoor seating in San Antonio. You can book a table online or claim a spot after making the rounds along the South Bank on the River Walk. Once you’re seated, check out the memorabilia, which features Ozzy Osbourne’s black velvet jacket, Eddie Van Halen’s Charvel guitar, and a brick wall spray painted by Aerosmith for the 1994 groundbreaking ceremony.
Things to know before you go
You can purchase online vouchers for meals with priority seating to save time.
The café is a working music venue—check the website calendar for a full list of events.
The café slings an entire menu of gluten-free salads, burgers, sandwiches, and other dishes.
How to get there
The café is in a convenient location in the heart of the River Walk—the number one tourist attraction in San Antonio—and is easiest to reach on foot. From Travis Park in downtown San Antonio, walk south on Navarro Street and take the stairs down to the south bank of the River Walk from the south side of Crockett Street.
When to get there
The Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio serves diner-style food from late morning to around midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and it closes a bit earlier on other days. There’s never a bad time to visit. The River Walk is a huge tourist draw, and it becomes packed with visitors in summer—when Hard Rock is likely to be packed as well.
The San Antonio River Walk
The San Antonio River Walk, also called Paso del Rio, is one of Texas' best surprises—it's a 15-mile network of walking paths below street level along the San Antonio River. The European-like, pedestrian-only paths pass from the eateries, shops, and museums in the heart of San Antonio down to San Antonio's colonial missions.
