iFLY Hollywood
1000 Universal Studios Blvd., Universal City, CA, 91608
iFLY Hollywood takes skydiving indoors, allowing guests to simulate flying and free falling via a vertical wind tunnel, creating air currents traveling up to 170 mph (275 kph). Each flyer is given professional instruction and outfitted with a flight suit and helmet—even children and inexperienced divers can soar to new heights without dealing with the dangers or training of typical skydiving.
The basics
iFly is inside the Universal CityWalk, an entertainment and shopping district next to the Universal Studios theme parks—but admission to Universal Studios is not required to fly. Visitors can book various flight combinations but can expect to take at least two 60-second flights with the help of their instructors; first-time flyers must also complete a pre-flight training session covering the basics. Although the flights are relatively short, guests should plan to stay for up to two hours to account for check-in, training, flights, and changing out of the flight suit.
Things to know before you go
Flyers should wear casual clothing: lace-up sneakers, casual pants, and shirts without collars.
Flyers must remove watches and jewelry before flying (glasses can stay on).
There are some weight restrictions but no height restrictions; flyers must be over 3 years old.
Guests can book combinations of two, four, five, and 10 flights.
Experienced flyers can try flips and tricks with the approval of their instructor.

When to get there
The skydiving center is open from noon to 7pm Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday to Sunday, from noon to 8pm on Friday, and from 12:30pm to 6pm on Monday.
