The house is within walking distance of other historical sites and is situated near one of rabbittransit’s Lincoln Line 1 and 2 bus stops.

When to get there

Plan to arrive early to secure a spot on a guided tour, especially during peak season. Consider visiting in the spring or fall, when there are fewer crowds than during the summer. In December, the house is decorated for the holidays as it would have been in 1863.
