M&M's Store New York
1600 Broadway, New York City, NY, 10019
Situated right in Times Square, M&M'S World New York is packed with the popular colorful candies. Beyond everything else, it features a 2-story wall made of plastic tubes filled with thousands of sweet treats, making it a must-visit for chocolate lovers. For a personalized NYC souvenir, you can customize your own M&M'S with a range of images and text.
The basics
You can’t miss this three-story candy shop when wandering around Times Square. You can hop on a bus tour of NYC that includes a stop at the M&M’s Store, plus it’s close to plenty of other major attractions. Once inside, snap a pic in the photo booth, analyze your mood to determine what color M&M you are, personalize some candies, and check out the merchandise, including pillows, T-shirts, watches, tote bags, hats, and more.
Things to know before you go
In case you're looking for more goodies, Hershey's Chocolate World is about a block away from the M&M’s Store.
If you take photos with any of the costumed street performers in Times Square, expect to give a tip.
There is a restroom in the store, as well as at nearby hotels.
How to get there
Located on the corner of Broadway and West 48th Street in Times Square, the M&M’s Store is close to public transit, including the subway. Take the N/R/W train to the 49th Street stop or the 1/2 train to 50th Street. Crosstown buses also run along 49th and 50th Streets.
When to get there
The M&M’s Store is typically open daily, from 9 or 10am until 11pm. Expect to encounter the biggest crowds during the summer and end-of-year holidays. To avoid the crowds, try to visit in the morning. This is also when Times Square is mostly empty. But if you want to see the area properly lit up, plan to visit at night.
Where to eat in Times Square
You’ll find plenty of dining options near the M&M’s Store if you want more to eat than just chocolate. Some popular, tried-and-true spots include Ellen's Stardust Diner, a 1950s-themed diner with singing servers. Another classic American eatery, Carnegie Diner & Cafe, serves sandwiches, breakfast dishes, and more, while Carmine’s offers a menu of Southern Italian meals.
Ways to explore
You can’t miss this 3-story, technicolor candy shop when wandering around Times Square. Once inside, snap a picture in the photo booth, analyze your mood to determine which color M&M you are, personalize some candies, and check out the merchandise, including pillows, T-shirts, watches, tote bags, hats, and more.
Some NYC bus tours include a stop at—or at least pass by—the glassy M&M’S Store. And since it’s close to so many major attractions, you might find yourself tempted by the chocolatey possibilities on your own, too.
