Considered one of the best malls ever by some travelers, NorthPark Center in Dallas offers a high-end shopping experience in a glamorous environment with mirrors, marble, and glass. In addition to department stores such as Nordstrom, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Dillard’s, the mall is home to a variety of restaurants.
The Basics
NorthPark offers 230 stores, more than 30 dining options, and four department stores organized in two levels. The mall has more than 25 stores only found in Texas, as well as more than 60 retailers exclusive to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you’re looking for luxury brands, such as Bulgari, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co., you’ll find them here. Bookmarks, a public library located in the shopping center, hosts educational programs for kids.

How to Get There
NorthPark Center is located on Northwest Highway and North Central Expressway. To get there from downtown Dallas, take US 75 N to North Central Expressway. Take Exit 5B and follow signs for the shopping center. The closest DART stop is Park Lane Station, about a 12-minute walk. Parking is free, and valet services are also available. The mall has a fleet of courtesy shuttles to help visitors get to their vehicles, too.
When to Get There
NorthPark Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday noon to 6pm. Check the website for special upcoming events and exhibits, such as in-store events and yoga in the surrounding park. There are regular story times and events geared toward young children at Bookmarks, the mall’s public library.

NorthPark Center got its start in 1965, opening on a former 97-acre cotton field as the largest climate-controlled retail center in the world. It has expanded over the years and now ranks in the top five of highest-performing shopping center in the US, with more than $1 billion in sales annually.
