Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum
100 Texas Ranger Trail, Waco, TX, 76706
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is dedicated to the history of the Texas Rangers who have lived and died over the last 150 years. Exhibits range from artwork, currency, weaponry, and uniform collections to access to a library of information and materials about the current and former Texas Rangers. The Hall of Fame is a memorial to the 35 inductees who either retired or died as Texas Rangers.
The basics
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is a treasure trove of information for those interested in the military, law enforcement, and American history. The full building encompasses the Col. Homer Garrison Museum, the Hall of Fame, and the Research Center, so be prepared to devote time to each section. The cemetery adjacent to the museum, though unrelated to the Rangers, has graves dating back to the 1700s that offer more historical context of the area.

How to get there
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is at 100 Texas Ranger Trail along Lake Brazos. It is directly across the street from Baylor University’s campus and has a dedicated parking lot. You can access it by car off I-35/US Highway 77. You can also walk along the Waco Riverwalk or arrive from the opposite side of the Brazos River via the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Bridge.
When to get there
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is open every day of the year, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. You can view a 45-minute film and see most of the museum within 2-3 hours. Compared to other Waco sites, this museum has fewer visitors. The free parking lot is reserved for Baylor Club Members on home football game days, so avoid those days if possible.
Where to find another Texas HOF site
