Trump Tower
725 Fifth Avenue, New York City, New York City, NY, 10022
Located in Midtown Manhattan where 56th Street meets 5th Avenue, Trump Tower is a residential and commercial skyscraper with several retail and dining options. As well as boasting opulent furnishings, a 6-story atrium, and an indoor waterfall, Trump Tower is the New York City residence of Donald Trump and the headquarters of the Trump Organization.
The basics
The top 38 floors of Trump Tower house residential condominiums, offering expansive city and Central Park views, while offices occupy the floors above the atrium. The atrium, open to the public, features a 60-foot (18-meter) cascading waterfall. Here, you’ll find a few Trump-branded and non-branded retail shops and dining outlets. There’s also a public roof garden on the fifth floor.
Trump Tower is a typical feature of sightseeing tours with a focus on Donald Trump, Midtown Manhattan, shopping, and architecture. At 68 stories tall, it’s not the city’s tallest building. But with its modern design, it’s one of the city’s most famous landmarks. Visit as part of a hop-on hop-off bus tour to combine the tower with other city highlights at your leisure.
Things to know before you go
Trump Tower is ideal for visitors with an interest in Donald Trump.
All visitors must go through a security check before entering the building.
Stores inside Trump Tower offer a wide range of Trump-branded merchandise.
Trump Tower has been, and may continue to be, the site of protests.
You don’t need reservations to dine at Trump Grill, located in the atrium and open daily for lunch.
How to get there
Trump Tower stands on 5th Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets. By subway, take the E or M to 5 Avenue-53rd Street or W to 5 Avenue. A number of buses also stop nearby, including the M1, M2, M3, and M57. Of course, you can also take rideshare or one of the city’s iconic yellow cabs.
When to get there
Trump Tower is open to the public from 8am–10pm daily, but different shops and restaurants have different operating hours. Only the atrium and roof garden are open to visitors, so you may not need that much time here unless you plan on dining at one of the restaurants.
Other Trump properties in New York
