The Venetian® Resort boasts a bustling nightlife and entertainment scene, along with grand architecture and romantic gondola rides. The hotel will transport you to the streets of Venice with its hand-painted frescoes, nods to the Italian city, and Grand Canal Shoppes, an area filled with luxury boutiques, cafés, and restaurants.

The Basics

Several tours include elements at the Venetian®Resort. Join a Vegas pool party tour and visit the Venetian’s Tao Beach, an extension of the Tao nightclub with a DJ, cabanas, and specialty drinks, in addition to visiting pools at other resorts. Experience a range of musical genres live with a hit Australian pop group on a jukebox tour, or opt for a tour that combines the Venetian®with a visit to Madame Tussauds.

In addition to a casino packed with poker tables and slot machines, the Venetian®also features plenty of nightlife options and a range of entertainment acts. Hop in a motorized gondola and travel through the hotel’s canals under ceilings with frescoes of the sky. The ride will take you beneath bridges and alongside the Grand Canal Shoppes, an Italian-style emporium of luxury shops and high-end boutiques.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Attend “Gondola University” at the Venetian®to experience being a gondolier.

  • Gondola rides are available in private 2-seat boats or shared 4-seat boats.

  • Hotel guests are offered two tiers of Wi-Fi bandwidth; the first is standard and included with the resort fee, while the second can be purchased.

  • You can visit the hotel’s guest services desk to request a wheelchair.

  • If exploring the Strip by foot, wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially during the summer months.

How to Get There

The Venetian®is located about 4.5 miles (7 kilometers) from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport. Rental cars, ride-hailing services, taxis, and shuttles are easily accessible from the airport to the Strip. From the airport, turn left onto East Tropicana Road then make a right onto Koval Lane, followed by a left onto East Flamingo Road and a right turn onto Las Vegas Boulevard. The resort offers two on-site parking garages; parking is free for all guests.

When to Get There

For seasonal events such as Chinese New Year, the Venetian®hosts special culinary and entertainment offerings, in addition to transforming the resort’s waterfall atrium with elaborate decorations. Overall, the best time to visit Las Vegas is during the spring and fall (from March to May and from September to November), when the weather is most pleasant.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas

Some tours combine a visit to the Venetian®with a stop at Madame Tussauds, which is located right next to the resort. There, you’ll find life-size wax figures of popular celebrities like George Clooney, Elvis, Elton John, and more. Each wax figure takes several hundred hours to create and features human-hair wigs, fiberglass eyeballs, and meticulous makeup, making for a great photo op.

Ways to explore

The Venetian is a classic stop on the Las Vegas Strip. Come to experience the gondola rides or world-class acts at the Sphere performance venue, or check out the hotel’s selection of restaurants, nightlife, and slot machines.

Several Las Vegas tours stop at the Venetian, too. Join a Vegas pool party and visit the Venetian’s Tao Beach, an extension of the Tao nightclub. You can also stop by on a double-decker bus tour or book a family-friendly visit to Madame Tussauds, which you can access through the resort. For a special occasion, get a bird’s-eye view of the Venetian on a nighttime helicopter tour.

The Venetian is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and scooters can be rented, but check ahead about availability.

Age limits

Gondola rides are kid-friendly, but the shows at the resort have different age restrictions. You must be 21 or older to check into the hotel.

Address

The Venetian is about 3.5 miles (5.5 kilometers) from Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport. Rental cars, rideshares, taxis, and shuttles are easily accessible from the airport to the Strip.

Driving

The resort is a 10-minute drive from the airport without traffic, or up to 20 minutes with traffic. There are two on-site parking garages in addition to valet; parking is free for qualifying Venetian Rewards members.

Public transportation

The free Deuce shuttle route stops right in front of the Venetian and operates 24/7.

Best times to visit

If you’re traveling with kids, arrive early for a family-friendly environment at Venetian attractions like the gondola ride and Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. If you’re there to party, wait till sundown.

Best days to visit

Shows run most days of the week, but you might find cheaper tickets and hotel deals from Monday to Thursday, when the Strip is less crowded.

The best time to visit Las Vegas is during the spring or fall, when the weather is most pleasant.
