Campground Overview
Cabin Camp 5 was the last camp to be completed by the CCC and WPA. The camp offers the largest capacity (210 in summer, 104 in winter) due to the large dorm buildings and restrooms. This is also the only camp with heat, so this camp may be rented year-round. This is also the only camp to have an outdoor picnic pavilion located inside the camp. Cabin Camp 5 is set up in two units with cabins that sleeps 2 to 4 people and larger dorm buildings that sleep 24.
Reservation Info
Cabin Camp 5 must be reserved ahead of time, at least two weeks in advance. Reservations are accepted on a first come- first served basis. Submit the Cabin Camp Application, along with a $25 application fee, to the following address: Prince William Forest Park, ATTN: Cabin Camps, 18100 Park Headquarters Road, Triangle, VA 22172 or via email at ralph_marrantino@nps.gov. The application can be found on our website on the group cabin camping page. Contact the cabin camp division at 703-221-5843.
Rules
Fire/Stove Policy
Firewood purchased or brought from outside of the park must be USDA certified pest-free firewood. Campers may use downed and dead wood of less than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than the length and width of the provided camping grill. Electrical appliances (Stoves, AC Units, heaters, etc.) are prohibited.
Regulations Overview
Reminder that the check-in time is 3:00 pm and the check-out time is 1:00 pm. The Permitee must be present for the check-in and check-out process. All pets are prohibited in the cabin camp area, cabins and camp buildings (except service animals). Smoking is not permitted in any of the cabins or buildings. Cabins should be swept and free of trash upon departure. Quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Please be considerate of fellow campers. Keep your cabin area and the comfort stations free of trash and personal belongings. Please recycle using the proper container located within the camp. To prevent animal and pest problems, please place trash in provided covered trash receptacles or carry it out with you. Fires are not permitted outside of the provided grills and fireplaces in the lodge building. Camping tents, screen tents or other structures are NOT permitted in the cabin camp
