There is a limit of 6 persons per site, a maximum of 2 cars, or 1 car and 1 trailer, and a maximum of two tents. Check-out is by noon.

Rules & Regulations

Fire/Stove Policy

Wood fires are not permitted in the campground. Only charcoal cooking fires are permitted in a grill, stove, or other self-contained unit.

Regulations Overview

Camping is permitting only at designated campgrounds. Check-out time is noon. No more than two vehicles (pop-up camper is considered a vehicle) and six persons may occupy a single site. Parking space for extra vehicles is severely limited, so plan accordingly. If you must bring more than two vehicles, make arrangements to park your extra vehicle outside the park or purchase an additional campsite. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, camping is limited to 14 days. The campgrounds are located on the ocean side separated from the beach by barrier dunes. Soil at all the campgrounds is sandy; therefore, longer than normal tent stakes are recommended. There are no shade trees. Mosquitoes may be a problem, so netting and insect repellent are recommended.

Accessibility

  • Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair users can reach the comfort stations on Loops G and J via wooden boardwalks and ramps. The comfort station on Loop D has a ramp but no firm route of travel connecting it to the loop road. Sections of the ramp leading to the comfort station on Loop G exceed 14% slope. The lower lips of comfort station door thresholds exceed 1-inch in height.

Paved loop roads and wooden boardwalks to two of the campground's four comfort stations provide firm paths of travel around the campground. A single accessible shower is located near the comfort station on Loop G. The shower head is handheld and mounted at a height of 70 inches. The showers nearest the accessible-designated campsites on Loop J lack a bench, grab bars, and sufficient space to maneuver a mobility device.
