Campground Overview
The Southwest Walk-in Campground is located on the east side of the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center parking area. When snow is present, approximately November to May, overnight stays are allowed in self-contained vehicles in the parking lot and in tents in the over-snow camping area. Regulations and the walk-in camping area change when the snow melts, approximately June to October.

Self-contained barbecues and gas stoves are allowed in the paved parking area. Fires and fire pans, including portable gas fire pits, are prohibited
Regulations Overview
Please self-register using Scan & Pay with recreation.gov's mobile app. Self-contained camping only, no tents allowed in the parking lot. Tents only in the over-snow camping area south of the parking lot. Park only in designated area (middle section, between the medians) to allow for flow of traffic and snow-plowing operations. Only occupy one parking space; do not extend into flow of traffic area. Self-contained barbecues and gas stoves are allowed. Fires and fire pans, including portable gas fire pits, are prohibited.
