Open seasonally, typically late fall through mid-to-late April. First-come, first-served, large campground that rarely fills. This location has little to no vegetation and is comprised of desert gravels. Car and tent camping is permitted however each site DOES NOT offer a fire grate or picnic table. Campfires are not allowed in Sunset except at a few established community fire grates within the campground. Fee is paid at the pay stations in the campground.
Typically open late fall through mid-to-late April. All sites are first-come, first-served. However, the NPS reserves the right to reserve sites at any time due to management needs. Occupy a site and then pay using the automated fee machine using card or head across the street to the visitor center to pay.

Internet Information
Usually available for a fee at the general store less than 1 mile away. Open Wi-Fi is regularly available at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center.
Cell Phone Information
Cell service is very spotty. Not all carriers offer reception in Death Valley. Expect zero connectivity during periods of higher-than-normal visitation (holidays, weekends, special events).
