Campground Overview
Located on the island of Maui, Haleakalā National Park maintains three wilderness cabins for visitor use-- Hōlua, Palikū, and Kapalaoa. All cabins are accessible only by trail from the summit area and require you to hike a minimum of 3.7 mi (5.9 km).

Reservations are required to stay overnight at any of the three Wilderness cabins.
Rules
Fire/Stove Policy
No open fires are permitted in the Wilderness of Haleakalā. Follow posted instructions for wood and propane stove use. Each cabin reservation holder will receive codes via email to access one wood locker per night of reservation that contains three logs for use in the wood stove. Bring a lighter or matches to start the wood and propane stoves. The park cannot guarantee that propane or wood will be available.

Overnight stays are limited to three (3) nights total for all Park areas in a 30-day period.
