Alex Hotel And Suites

Minus - Hotel a little run down and the elevator for one section was not working. Plus - close to bus line to downtown Staff willing to help

Shuttle did not pick us up at airport, myself and 4 other people tried calling the hotel and they would not answer the phone we all had to take a taxi. When I arrived I told the girl at the front desk what happened and we would like to be reimbursed for the cab and she said they wouldn't do that, I then asked her why she didn't answer the phone, she said she was busy. The hotel is old and dirty, elevators were so old it was scary!

If possible, I recommend choosing another hotel. We were scheduled to stay 3 nights, but cancelled the 3rd night. The TV did not work, the elevator did not work and it was a multi-story bldg. During the time we stayed, we did not see anyone working on the elevator. The beds had one thin sheet and a thin bedspread. There were no blankets. There were exactly two sets of bath towels. The curtain was broken. The carpet had huge burn marks. The corner floor of the bathroom had small piles of long hair which were not ours. It's old and doesn't seem to be maintained. After staying here, very surprised to see a 3-star rating. The pictures are misleading. The lobby may have looked like the photo 10-15 years ago.

Bed was comfortable but room starkly furnished with signs of wear. More like a budget hotel

We only were there one night. They were prompt at picking us up at Anchorage airport. Also provided continental breakfast, the provided us transportation back to airport.
