Best Western Edgewater Resort

When we arrived, we were told that there had been water line break and that our room had no water. But it should be repaired in an hour or two. We were told that we could cancel our reservation without penalty. However we were not offered any assistance in booking another room even though as we found out later that there was another BW in town. Not having any other options, we took the room in hopes that repairs would happen soon. They were not. I used the toilet in hopes there was still water in the tank for a flush. There was not. When we went back to the front desk, they moved us to a much lesser room without any refund or cost adjustment. We were told nothing could be done because it was booked through AAA/Expedia. Fortunately, we were there only one night. Very disappointing. I've stayed with Best Western many times in the past.

For a place that calls themselves a resort there was no restaurant the night we arrived. Lack of staff we were told. Next morning the included with your room breakfast was Jimmy Dean premade and wrapped croissant, egg and sausage. Somewhat soggy. Prepackaged cup of oatmeal, no brown sugar, dried fruit not even raisins. No hot chocolate packets. No hot foods like other Best Westerns we have been to. No waffle maker, one kind of bread set out in a bag to choose from. It seemed there was only one person to handle the breakfast bar and the front desk. The room was fine. Bed comfortable. Air conditioner had to be blocked by the stuffed chair so that draft from unit didn't blow on your face when you went to bed.

I booked a room for three, which included two beds and a sofa bed. The room was large, and we had a view of the lake. There were chairs on a patio outside of our room. The breakfast sandwich was tasty and could be picked up and brought back to the room. We had a very delicious dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. I look forward to returning!
