I booked 2 rooms. I arrived at my hotel around late 10 or 11 PM on Friday night. I was asked to sign papers, given a keys to the two rooms that I reserved, was told what time breakfast started and was told about the Wi-Fi password. Although I believe it was an accident or error, I was not made aware that housekeeping only came to your room if you requested them. I expected new fresh towels and and a clean room when I arrived back to my hotel on Saturday evening but no one had come to my room. Coincidentally though, someone someone had gone to the other room that I that I booked and cleaned it and not one of us told Housekeeping to go to that room. When I got back to the hotel At 9:05 Saturday , October 8 2022, I called what I thought was housekeeping, but ended up being the front desk and expressed my concern about the situation. The lady at the desk snapped on me and was very rude and loud. She then told me that I can come downstairs and get fresh towels myself. I guess she was waiting for me to have a confrontation with her whe i arrivedat the desk, because when I arrived and I arrived she said loudly, "I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out." There were other customers in the lobby, and because I work in customer service myself I had no intention of letting the rest of the customers know what the problem was. I did not want to embarrass her, myself or The Comfort Inn by being loud or alerting the other 3 customers of a problem because I am aware of the trickle down affect, that if one customer hears you complaining then they'll start complaining and out of compassion I kept my voice low and asked her about the situation with housekeeping. She did not keep the situation low, she was very loud and rude . The lady behind me heard everything. My aunt, who had come down with me but went to the restroom came to came to the desk just as the young lady was yelling. I was trying to let the young women now that I was not trying to fuss at her but that I wanted a solution. She snapped at me and told me, "You need to talk to the housekeeping supervisor then!!! Just then my aunt arrived and quietly said to me as we walked away, "She has attitude." The woman then screamed out, "NO I DON'T!!" We then walked away because she was being belligerent causing a scene, it did not matter how quiet, nice or kind I was to her she was just angry. I will say, that when I got back to the room, in the bathroom on the mirror is a tiny sign that says housekeeping will come upon request. It is barely noticeable though and got buried in the fog from the shower. Sunday morning we got up early to leave and when I checked out she was still at the desk looking angry. I gave her my key and and she still had an attitude and lacked good customer service. I don't think that she remembered me but her whole demeanor looked like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. In the amenity section of comfort Inn and suites web page, think that they need to need to post that housekeeping is only up on request. This will give customers an opportunity to either choose to come or not.. Or this will let a person know ahead of time that they will only receive housekeeping up on request. The more you know prior to coming the better it is for the customer.
