Courtyard by Marriott Boston Waltham

We were looking for a hotel that has easy access to the highway leading into downtown Boston. This hotel was recommended to us by a friend who stays there whenever he travels from the NY / NJ metro area to go to see a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. The location is very convenient to Boston without actually being in Boston. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Boston. The hotel room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Although we did not request it, house cleaning came to tidy our room and make the bed. Many hotels stopped doing this during covid for short stays (we stayed two nights), and most have not returned this service, so it was nice to see a return to normalcy. The staff that we dealt with were professional and personable. We were only disappointed that the hotel did not offer complimentary breakfast, though they did offer on site kitchen that you could order food from. I did not notice any restaurants in close proximity to the hotel, other than one that was attached to a neighboring hotel. This might not be the best location for anyone looking for more amenities outside of what the hotel can offer on site, but it is perfect for a business trip or a short stay. The price per night was a bit more than we usually pay, however, it was much cheaper than most of the quality hotels in Boston, so it was worth it for convenience and cleanliness alone, which were our two big selling points..
