DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport

Very nice hotel next to the airport. We spent 5 nights there without an issue.

outdated HVAC system. So loud could not sleep when on.

Horribly outdated hotel, way too expensive for the quality of accommodations. Signage in the hallways was absent- I took two wrong turns just trying to find the front desk from my room. No vending machines, just a rickety old ice maker that was only accessible via stairs (hello, ADA!). The elevator only had 2 floors, but all the room numbers were in the 800s. What the heck was that? The sink in the bathroom had no strainer- just a hole in the basin, which would be a disaster if you drop a piece of jewelry or a contact lens! I would NOT recommend staying here. Also, it is NOT walking distance to the airport unless you want to walk in the road.

The hotel smelled musty, elevator smelled moldy. The ice machine room was dirty and had no drink vending machine. The restaurant had very limited menu. I tried to get a banana and toast during the dinner dining time because my husband wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t. The food was good as was the service. The shower had glass door that only opened partially and you could only turn shower on standing in the shower, getting a full blast of cold water before you could regulate it .It is very convenient to be shuttled to the Jacksonville international airport anytime of the day or night. They have beautiful views from the main lobby and restaurant to the central outdoor pool and gathering areas.

This was a very unprofessional establishment. The staff disrespected my 4 yr. old child. The rooms were dirty. Service was terrible. I asked for a supervisor while there and I quote the lady said, "I am the supervisor, and I don't give a darn." I called the compliant line and I have need to have, my issue addressed. If I ever stay at any doubletree establishment again will definitely be a very last option.
