Econo Lodge Inn And Suites Chickama

My view of my stay at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Chickamauga, GA 5/8/2024 - 5/11/2024 is kind of mixed. My hotel room had several problems but the staff was very good to me and handled most of my problems quickly and very politely. My door key didn't work on several occasions and had to be reset. The front door to my room closed and locked but there was a visible gap between the door and the frame, where you could see people when the passed by. No hangers for clothes, two of the three dresser drawers were missing, bathroom door had water damage and swelling, TV did not work, smoke alarm battery door open with battery disconnected and hanging down. The light over the sink area did not work, no USB ports (at least I didn't see any). Over all this hotel seemed to me to be in some level of repair crisis. The manage at a nearby restaurant where I ate commented that he believes the hotel owners were new and the previous owner left it in bad shape. On the other hand what I saw of the new owner and staff is that they recognized the problems and were working diligently and through out my three day stay to fix and repair the hotel and help their guests. My thorough is the staff and manager will have this hotel in much better shape in the near future.
