Howard Johnson New Braunfels

This hotel was just ok. I will start with the positive that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night. What I didn't like was the breakfast was very sparce. 2 kinds of cereal, bread/bagel, and poppyseed mini muffins. There were only a limited number of rubbery eggs that were gone by 8am. The sausage was bad and no one touched those. The room had water damage and some bad patchwork trying to cover it up. The staff was fine on checkin, but never even acknowledged my presence after that and many times the front desk was unmanned. But probably the worst was that the parking lot was right outside the room. Lots of large trucks back end parked and would run at night and just after 6am and exhaust would come into the room. It smelled horrible.
