Maingate Lakeside Resort

There had been some kind of computer problem earlier in the day, so it took 2.5 hours to get checked in. Line was wrapped around the lobby with only two people working, and one kept walking away. The person who stayed couldn't multitask at all even to make small talk with the customer, so it was taking 15-20 minutes per person. First room smelled musty. AC literally fell apart when we touched it and was filthy inside. Fridge handle was ripped off and shelves inside were rusty. Bathroom was disgusting. Saw our first bug within 3 minutes. Last straw was finding a watermelon-sized multi-colored stain under the duvet all the way through to the mattress. House phone had no buttons. Calling the hotel from our cell phone just sent us in loops and just kept restarting the menu randomly. Had to go back to the mess of a lobby. Second room was only slightly cleaner but still had a smell and bugs. Cabinet door was ripped off and there was a hole punched in the wall behind the bathroom doorknob. Stay away at all costs! Not worth the savings AT ALL!

Although reservations were made, I still had to wait in a long line to check in at 9 PM. The covers on one of the beds had what looked like cigarette caused burn holes (2). Was somewhat surprised there was no mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, clock or phone to call the front office in my room. Noticed stains on part of the tub.
