Red Roof St George Convention Cente

This place was really gross. The hallway had a strong musty smell, as though there was a water leak that wasn't properly fixed. Both beds in the room had hair on the sheets upon arrival. My son picked up the mattress and it was filthy underneath. The base of the walls and bathroom door seemed to be rotting from water damage at least 6 inches up. Thankfully this was just a quick pass thru stop to sleep and we had our own blankets and pillows in the car so we could push all but the fitted sheet off and use our own. This place didn't just feel old, because old can still be clean. It felt dirty and we we stayed the shortest time possible before getting back on the road. Last year we stayed at the Red Lion Inn across the street. It was low budget but clean. A mistaken name is how we ended up here this year. Honestly I am disappointed that AAA is offering this as an option on their website.

The hotel did not have an elevator & we had a lot of luggage. Luckily, a hotel resident helped us take our luggage upstairs. There was no breakfast either.
