SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North Shore

Great location to PNC Park! In town for an overnight stay for a baseball game. Expensive compared to the usual rate because of people attending game and paid for location. Hotel parking is no longer next to the hotel as previous years. Had to get a parking pass from hotel to park a few minutes walk under highway ramp. Some cars had to be parked along street in front of hotel. Lobby was busy during check-in, only one person working front desk. Elevators are slow. Room was nice and clean although we checked in then came back to sleep. Room overlooked old parking lot which is now a construction site and was loud until city slowed down for the night. Breakfast was good both hot and cold food. Everything was kept stocked except the coffee was going out faster than could be refilled. We went early around 8:00 but was told breakfast ended at 9:30. Wished it would have been a little later so we could have been packed and checked out after breakfast. All in all it was a nice stay. Note: booked room about two months in advance through AAA. My husband’s credit card was charged for the full amount which matched the invoice we received once we checked out. There was an additional $100.00 charge on his credit card added the same day. Waited a couple of days and it was taken off. Assuming it was for any damages in the room after it was checked when we left. Haven’t had this happen in previous stays in the same hotel.

Great for the price. The tub faucet was leaky and the shower rod was very dirty, but that's pretty minor. Entering the parking lot was a bit confusing.

Excellent location to stay for a pirates or Steelers game. Was able to to park early before check in time but the desk attendant sighed and acted like it was so much trouble to check our name and write the make and color on the parking pass. Felt like I should apologize for bothering her. We were in town for a Pirates vs Reds game so location was great Room was ok but walking around in my socks I found the carpet dirty. When my husband and I were ready to go to bed, pulled back the comforter and wasn’t sure if the sheets were changed from the previous person because everything was so wrinkled. We were too tired to say anything. Room needed a good cleaning not just a quick changeover for the next person. Morning breakfast was very nice. The attendant greeted us with a good morning and a smile. Nice assortment of breakfast items. Hotel is very lucky to have a wonderful person like her. Game the night before was canceled due to weather so we decided to stay for the 1:35 Sunday game. Went back to our room to wait until 11:00 which was check out time. At 10:45 housekeeping was knocking on doors I am assuming to get us out of the room. When we went to the front desk the person who we got our parking pass from was working with another person so I went to the other attendant who was pleasant and professional checked out and were on our way. We had to pay another $27 to leave our car in the parking lot .

Very friendly and helpful. Liked the shuttle they had to drive you within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Room was big and could move around with no problem.
