The Delavan Hotel And Spa

Power went out for 1.5 hours one evening (10:30-12 pm). Yes, that can’t be helped, but what could be helped was your hotel’s response or should I say lack thereof. No way to reach the front desk (because your phones didn’t work) and there was no one at the front desk for several minutes after - as my husband walked down to check (the fire system beeping due to the outage). Your banquet facilities (in an attached building next door) had a generator; however the hotel did not. Those with sleep machines such as CPAPs were left without power. The manager could have cared less and didn’t come in. The gentleman at the desk didn’t know what to do and just stated how happy he was that his shift was almost over. When asked at checkout about the situation, the staff member didn’t even know about the power outage and told me his manager coming in at 9am would contact me today…. Two days later? - still no response. Walls were thin, carpet tiles were coming up in the hallway…room service trays sat outside doorways for over 12 hours. I think we will pass on staying here again and recommend others do the same. What a disappointment! Do NOT waste your money!!!!!

Excellent facility, Great staff, Wonderful location.

The hotel was very nice. We only had contact with one employee at the front desk, but she was helpful and friendly. They are still in the covid protocol of grab 'n go for breakfast, but the offerings were fine. The room was also very nice. It is a good location as it is not far from the airport.
