Very bad hotel and carpet was very dirty and nasty

The hotel is old and not brought up to date (although there was renovation work being done when we stayed there. So there’s hope). The room and furniture were old and worn, and so was the carpet. The room was not particularly clean, although I’ve seen worse. The staff, however, were nice and helpful.
