Wingate By Wyndham Chattanooga

Not having used Wingate in the past due to thinking they were up scale and too expensive we were generally disappointed. The reception was not very inviting. We booked a reasonable time ahead asking for ground floor, near an exit/entrance with some accommodation for physical impairment. NONE of these requests were honored. At check in I advised that I wished to pay in cash and was told that this could be done at checkout. When checking out they had difficulty making change and was advised that the charge on my credit card I used to confirm the reservation, would not be removed for 5 to 7 days.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The check-in and out staff was fine. The challenge was the traffic, the street layout and the accessiblity to the entry of the hotel.

Upon our arrival The hotel front door was locked, we could not get in. Used phone to call front desk, no one was attending front desk at time. They did however show up 10 minutes later and let us in. Still advertised full free breakfast on site but that was not true. Did not know till next morning when looking for breakfast. Bag with an awful muffin and cereal bar. No milk to even drink with either food. A full breakfast was part of reason we chose this hotel. Awful smell in our room, smelled moldy. If I could have left and wasn't so tired, we would have asked for money back.
