Opened a generation ago in the West Village as a non-stop 24/7 Gallic tribute to the city that never sleeps, that famed downtown outpost closed years ago. However, their sister restaurant, within an intellectually vibrant Upper West Side milieu, remained open through the decades and along the way has become an Upper Manhattan classic. A traditional bistro menu is served for three meals daily and there are interesting daily specials such as soft shell crabs Provençal, or quail a l’orange.
