A North End institution since 1974, this no-frills, family-run favorite draws locals and visitors for its thick, airy Sicilian-style square pizza served hot from the oven. The compact menu also includes house-made arancini, panzarotti, potato croquettes and hearty calzones, all offered at remarkably affordable prices. Service is quick and straightforward, with food served on paper plates in a bustling, old-school setting. Bring cash, as credit cards are not accepted, and arrive early during peak lunch hours before lines commonly stretch out the door and popular items can sell out. The restaurant is only open for dinner on weekends and sometimes closes for part of July for their annual vacation.
