Don't let the name deter you—this family-owned diner is a beloved local favorite among residents, college students and families alike. Once Indiana's first drive-in restaurant, the historic eatery has earned national acclaim for its burgers, crafted from 100 percent fresh top sirloin ground on site. Signature options include the Duane Purvis, an all-American classic topped with creamy peanut butter. A menu of satisfying comfort foods rounds out the offerings, including pork tenderloin, hearty chili, à la carte sandwiches and all-day breakfast. While the drive-in service is no longer available, guests can enjoy a seat at the vintage counter or opt for carryout. Be sure to try a frosty root beer float made with the signature Triple XXX root beer. Seating inside is limited, but outdoor dining is available in nice weather.
