Overview
This tour was uniquely developed by an owner who moved to Savannah in the fall of 2000 to study architecture, finished school, and never left. Having written his master's thesis on this beautiful city, he loves sharing his insider expertise with you. Throughout the journey, you will explore fascinating examples and discussions of different architectural styles and the architects who built Savannah's grand-scale buildings from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s. Alongside the architecture, you will dive into what was happening in American culture at the time, uncovering historic burials, an all-but-forgotten cemetery, statues, and monuments that paint a vivid picture of historic Savannah.
