Overview
Experience San Antonio after dark on a 2.5 to 3-hour small-group walk limited to six travelers. Begin at Alamo Plaza, where Victor shares how Mission San Antonio de Valero became a military garrison and fortified compound, its connection to the Spanish presidio, and the events leading to the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. Then walk alongside Victor, your local storyteller, as though exploring the city with a longtime friend. Enjoy the illuminated River Walk, historic bridges, Marriage Island, the Arneson River Theatre, La Villita, Main Plaza, and San Fernando Cathedral. Along the way, hear stories of Indigenous communities, Spanish missions and acequias, Canary Islanders, the Chili Queens, local traditions, architecture, and movie locations. The relaxed pace allows time for photographs, questions, and conversation. When scheduled, the evening concludes with San Antonio | The Saga projected across San Fernando Cathedral. Otherwise, enjoy the cathedral story and Main Plaza after dark.
